Privacy Policy.

Your financial information is personal. NetWorth AU is designed to let you manage your financial records primarily on your own device, with optional backup controlled by you.

Last updated: 21 October 2026 · Applies to the NetWorth AU mobile app and the OurWorth website.

1. Who we are

OurWorth is the brand behind NetWorth AU. This policy explains the app’s local data practices, optional integrations and information you might provide when contacting support.

2. Information entered into NetWorth AU

You may enter financial asset and debt balances, account descriptions, property and mortgage details, Super and investment settings, relevant dates of birth or ages, retirement assumptions, Snapshot histories and associated notes. This information is used to provide the calculations, histories and illustrations you request.

NetWorth AU is designed around local storage of your financial ledger on your device rather than a central OurWorth financial database. You do not need to connect a bank account to use its core net-worth tracking features.

3. Optional Google Drive backups

If you choose to connect Google Drive, NetWorth AU requests Google authorisation to create, find and restore the app’s own backups in a private Google Drive application-data folder. The scope is limited to the app’s private data area; it is not permission to browse unrelated files in your Drive.

Backup files can contain the financial and profile information you save in the app. These files are stored in your Google account and processed by Google under its own privacy and security terms. The app may use Google account-identification and authorisation information as needed to operate the connection and show the connected account.

Connected Drive backup is optional. Your app data remains available locally when you do not connect Google Drive. Where automatic backup is enabled, it runs under the app’s documented controls; you can disconnect the account through the app settings.

4. Other optional online features

Some optional features can contact third-party services. These include weather information, when its feature and necessary device permission are enabled, and exchange-rate reference data when requested. The app uses these services for their stated functions. Device/platform providers may process technical information needed to deliver those requests. Exact technical data transmitted should be confirmed against the release build.

5. OurWorth website and support enquiries

The OurWorth website is a public information site and does not ask you to enter financial balances. Its hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser/device information to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. If you contact support by email, we receive the information you choose to send. Please avoid sending passwords, bank credentials, or full financial backup files unless a secure support procedure specifically requires them.

6. How information is used or shared

Financial information you enter is used to run your local NetWorth AU calculations, visualisations and records. When you explicitly use Google Drive or other optional online services, information needed to perform that operation is shared with the selected provider for that purpose.

We do not use Google Drive user data to serve advertising, sell it, or provide it to data brokers. Google user information accessed through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve the user-facing functions you authorise, consistent with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

7. Access, changes, deletion and backups

You can review and amend financial records using the app’s editing tools, and you can reset or remove local records using the app’s available data-management controls. You can create and restore portable backups. Deleting information from your device does not automatically delete backup copies retained in your Google Drive account or in exported files you have saved elsewhere; those copies are controlled separately.

8. Security and limitations

The app uses local storage and backup integrity checks to help maintain reliable records. Local device security and access to your Google account remain important. No software or data-storage method can guarantee absolute protection against loss or unauthorised access. Exported or shared backup copies should be stored securely.

9. Overseas processing

Optional third-party services and website hosting may process information outside Australia. The relevant provider’s locations, privacy notices and terms apply to information processed by that service.

10. Privacy questions and complaints

For requests concerning privacy, data access, corrections or complaints, contact OurWorth using the privacy contact address below. We will review requests relating to information we control and explain when information is held only on your device or with a third-party provider.

Privacy and support contact: [email protected]

If your concern is not resolved, you can find information about making a privacy complaint through the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features, providers or legal requirements change. The publication date above will indicate the latest version.
